Brief Lockout Today at Mount Ogden Junior High
Mount Ogden Junior High activated the lockout emergency response protocol briefly around noon today (Wednesday) as a precaution due to possible police activity in the neighborhood. There was no threat to the school or students. A call is being sent to parents explaining a lockout was called for the school. Lockout means students are kept inside the building and unknown individuals are not allowed entrance. Last week the school practiced emergency procedures. The Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program is designed to build academic and language fluency in both English and Spanish. Dual language immersion offers a rich bilingual experience for young learners when their minds are developmentally best able to acquire a second language.

Lunceford will be recognized formally in Washington D.C in October during National Principals Month.
