Ogden School District has received several awards throughout the years. Some recent awards are:
- Mountain States Construction Silver Award in K-12 Education for Ben Lomond High School, presented October 2010.
- National School Public Relations Association Award of Merit for distinguished achievement in the category of Branding/Image Package, presented June 2010.
There are several awards that can be given to students, employees, individuals and/or groups for their outstanding contribution to the success of our students. They are listed below:
Students of the Month Awards – The Board of Education would like to honor the Student of the Month from each secondary school beginning in October. The Student of the Month information sheets needs to be turned in to Sandi by the 20th of the month. Students of the Month are featured on Channel 17 and at http://www.utahvod.com/UTAHVOD/SOM/ .
“Tony Divino” Focus On Excellence Awards – This award can be given to any staff member who you feel has exemplified the strategic plan. The Focus nomination letter can be written by anyone, but it needs to be accompanied by a letter of endorsement from the building principal. Please include how the nominee has exemplified the Strategic Plan. Awards are presented at the Board of Education meetings. Please turn the forms in to the Community Relations Office. We will present up to 20 awards this year.
Empowering Educational Partnerships Awards – This award can be given to an individual or group within the community that have made an outstanding contribution with their time, talents, etc. to your school. A letter of nomination can be written by anyone but must be endorsed by the principal. Awards are presented at Board of Education meetings. Please submit Helping Hands letters in to the Community Relations Office.
