Three school principals have accepted new appointments. Ogden School District is known for having exemplary leaders who are regularly sought out for their talents, character, and expertise.
Dear Ogden School District Community,
During tonight’s Ogden School District Board of Education meeting, the Board unanimously approved the following school administration changes effective immediately.
Maridee Harrison: Principal of Horace Mann
Jileen Mortensen: Principal of Lincoln Elementary
Ross Lunceford: Principal of Mound Fort Junior High
The Ogden School District truly appreciates the remarkable progress as lead by these capable administrators in their respective schools. We look forward to their continued effort and influence on their newly appointed campuses and communities.
Staffing decisions are some of the most challenging aspects that face every district and Ogden is no exception. The Ogden School District provides the utmost assurance that personnel changes are never taken lightly and are only finalized once it can be determined that the collective impact upon individuals and the district as a whole will be positive in nature. When unplanned administrator vacancies occur and reassignment becomes necessary, it invariably creates a "ripple” effect upon others. Through a process of careful analysis, that includes such factors as the professional growth desires among our current administrators, the strengths and capacity of specific leaders, the needs of specific campuses and the needs of various student populations, we arrive at a carefully articulated course of action.
The Ogden School District is known for having exemplary leaders who are regularly sought out for their talents, character, and expertise. We are honored to have these leaders choose Ogden to support all of our students. We appreciate the support and understanding of the affected students, staff, and communities as we make these changes.
