Adult transition program treat trolley

The Ogden School District Adult Transition Program is an opportunity for students with disabilities to continue their education beyond high school. Students focus on independent living skills, vocational skills, post-secondary education preparation, and community access skills in community-based settings. The Transition Treat Trolley is one opportunity to practice functional academic skills, social skills, and vocational skills; all things that help students transition to adult living.


El Programa de Transición de Adultos del Distrito Escolar de Ogden es una oportunidad para que los estudiantes con discapacidades continúen su educación después de la escuela secundaria. Los estudiantes se enfocan en habilidades para la vida independiente, experiencia vocacional, preparación para la educación post secundaria y habilidades de acceso a la comunidad en entornos comunitarios. El Transition Treat Trolley es una oportunidad para practicar habilidades académicas funcionales,  sociales y vocacionales; todas las cosas que ayudan a los estudiantes a hacer la transición a la vida adulta.

Utah public schools now have official covid-19 recommendations from the State of Utah that may be used to inform back to school plans.

On August 2, 2021 the Utah Department of Health released their official K-12 School Recommendations for the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. The 2021-2022 Keeping Ogden Healthy Plan is still being finalized and must take into account this latest information. Contuinual updates will be provided as soon as they are available.

The Utah STEM Action Center is looking for part-time mentors for our AmeriCorps
Math Mentorship program. We are seeking mentors who are community-focused
and passionate about education to work with students grades 4-8 building
academic confidence and improving math skills. Custom math software will allow
mentors of all educational backgrounds to act as a student's guide to greater
academic success while providing the essential elements of personal attention
and care.

We believe our community deserves additional preschool programs to prepare students for success in kindergarten. The need for preschool has never been greater than at this stage in our community’s pandemic response. We aim to provide a solid and accelerated foundation for success in kindergarten and beyond. 

Preschool Locations: 

  • New Bridge Elementary
  • East Ridge Elementary

When: 

  • Preschool starts: August 30th
  • 4 half days per week 
  • Morning and afternoon sections are available

Who is eligible: 

  • Students who are 4 years old and toilet trained on or before September 2, 2021.
  • Enrollment open to Ogden School District families. 
  • Priority will be given to families living in the boundaries of New Bridge Elementary and East Ridge Elementary.
  • Families living outside the New Bridge and East Ridge boundaries may apply for enrollment as part of a school-choice application.
  • Spaces will be filled on a first come-first served basis until the cap of 20 students per section is reached.

La necesidad de educación preescolar nunca ha sido mayor que en esta etapa de recuperación de la pandemia de nuestra comunidad. Nuestro objetivo es proporcionar una base sólida y acelerada para los próximos pasos de educación de los estudiantes.

  • 4 medio días a la semana

  • Inscripción abierta para familias del Distrito Escolar de Ogden.
  • Se dará prioridad a las familias que viven en los límites de las escuelas primarias New Bridge y East Ridge.
  • Las familias que viven fuera de los límites de New Bridge y East Ridge pueden solicitar la inscripción como parte de una solicitud de elección de escuela.
  • Los espacios se llenarán por orden de llegada hasta que se alcance el límite de 20 estudiantes por sección.
