The Office of Student Achievement is excited to announce two summer professional development opportunities for all K-5 science teachers to support implementation of our newly adopted curriculum!
It is highly recommended that all K-5 science teachers attend both workshops.
These two workshops are designed to provide our science teachers with an introduction to the critical program components they need to ensure success on Day 1 with our newly adopted curriculum: Inspire Science.
The training sessions are interactive and will include a culminating, application-oriented activity (such as planning a lesson), so participants can immediately apply what they have learned.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to utilize specific program design knowledge to:
- Inform instruction and frame classroom practice
- Analyze the unit structure to uncover the role of the teacher in a student-centered classroom
- Embed strategies that support student interactions
- Effectively integrate print and digital program components into instruction
- Apply best practices for usage and recommended implementation strategies
