We are excited to begin this journey with you! Teaching in Ogden is an incredible experience and you will soon find that you are where you need to be.
At Ogden School District we pride ourselves on the level of support our new teachers receive. We have Instructional Coaches in every building and a team of District Specialists to help guide you on your journey.
Please contact me with questions you may have. We are here to make this an amazing experience for you!
At the beginning of each school year our new teachers will receive Two Full Day Trainings. The first day is spent with all of our new teachers and employees. This is when you will meet our District Cabinet Team including the Superintendent Team and other District Directors.
During the day employees will learn all the ins and outs of Ogden and will have the opportunity to meet with our Human Resources Director. They will learn about different requirements and opportunities in Ogden School District.
They will also spend some time with our District Specialists learning about different programs that we offer and get a look at the curriculum they will be using during the year.
Day two is spent in their buildings with their Instructional Coaches. They will get time to learn about the school and begin some planning and preparation for the first week of school.
Whether you are new to teaching or just new to Ogden District we offer a variety of support for each teacher's individual needs.
Every teacher new to Ogden will receive mentoring and coaching from the instructional coach(es) in their building.
Our coaches meet weekly with the district specialists to continue their learning and refine the coaching process. The New Teacher Specialist dedicates time each month to check in at the schools and meet with both coaches and teachers to ensure all needs are being met.
