Data Privacy Training

Listed below are the training resources provided by the OSD Data Governance Work Group to help you ensure data security in your role, department, or building. All Ogden School District board members, employees, contractors, and volunteers will receive one of the three levels of Data Privacy Training listed below.


Data Privacy Training Levels

Level 1Level 1

This training is an overview of data governance and security (e.g., best practices, guidelines, policy review, etc.).

This training is required of all employees (including board members, contract, temporary, and volunteer).

Level 1 Training Video

Level 2Level 2

This training includes a fundamental understanding of data governance and security specific to users who have school- or class-level access to student data.

This training is required if

  • Your position requires an educator license.
  • You have school- or class-level access to student data.
  • Requested by the Student Data Manager.

Level 2 Training Video

 

Level 3Level 3

This training includes an advanced understanding of data governance and security for users with district-level access to student data.

This training is required if

  • Your position requires an administrative license.
  • You have district-wide access to student data.
  • Requested by the Student Data Manager.
