Digital Citizenship for Parents
Giving students devices without lessons on digital citizenship is similar to giving them keys to a car without Driver's Education classes. While the consequences of a child driving a car are very obvious, the dangers a child can face on the computer may be just as damaging. Digital Citizenship is simply an extension of responsible behavior. As technology continues to advance, it is becoming harder for parents/caregivers to stay ahead of the curve. The more parents/caregivers know about digital citizenship, the more they can take co-ownership of the effort.
