A giant thanks to all of our generous Golf Classic sponsors! It is a remarkable thing when a community comes together to support our children, and we are so grateful for your trust in our organization. Thank you!

From perfect weather and stunning views to delicious food and the best company, we truly couldn’t have asked for a better day! A huge thank you to our presenting sponsor, Ascent Credit Union, our 144 golfers, and all the sponsors, board members, and volunteers who made it happen. We’re so grateful to have incredible partners like you making a difference!

School may be out for Summer Break, but we've still got Classroom Grants stories to share! Students in Ben Lomond High School’s Family Consumer Science (FCS) classes now have the tools they need to succeed in courses like Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Child Development, Personal & Family Finance, and Teaching as a Profession, thanks to our Classroom Grants Program! FCS teacher Ms. Bracken used this funding to purchase essential supplies that support hands-on learning. In the sewing lab, a new iron and ironing board have enhanced the quality of student projects, while new bobbin cases have made all sewing machines fully functional, allowing a one-to-one student-to-machine ratio. In the culinary lab, the addition of paper products allows students to take home their food creations and even share samples with other teachers in the building, strengthening school connections while showcasing their work. A new laminator has also been a game-changer, preserving student-created artwork, menus, patterns, and posters for a professional, long-lasting finish. These resources have had a lasting impact, equipping students with practical, real-world skills that will serve them well beyond high school.
"I cannot thank you enough for funding my project!" said Ms. Bracken. "Family and Consumer Sciences is a great program that teaches so many vital skills, and having the supplies to teach is invaluable. My students are so appreciative that they have the supplies that they need to be successful in their Family Consumer Science skills."

Celebrating our incredible Financial Administrative Assistant, Debbie, as she heads into retirement! Debbie has been a driving force in our office—bringing both expertise and fun to everything she does. We will definitely miss her, but we're so excited for her as she begins this next chapter. Congratulations, Debbie!

Congratulations once again to all of our 2025 winners of the Telitha Lindquist Greiner Excellence in Teaching Award! The educators in the Ogden School District are amazing!

Today, we were excited to welcome Leadership Northern Utah (LNU) from the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce to the Ben Lomond High Teen Center! LNU is a 9-month program that helps develop strong business and community leaders by focusing on strategic thinking, relationship building, influence, and execution. Participants gain a deeper understanding of our community by exploring it through a leadership lens. We’re grateful this group chose to spend their day learning about the amazing work happening in the Ogden School District—and how our community comes together to support our students.
Our Support Centers are made possible thanks to the generosity of many dedicated friends and donors. To learn more and see how you can be involved, please visit our website at the link below.

We love the KIND Fund! Since its inception in 2022, the Young Caring For Our Young Foundation's KIND Fund (Kids In NeeD) has been empowering educators to do what they do best: care for our community's children. Through donations and volunteers, this program allows teachers to identify a student in need of clothing and other essentials and submit a request directly through the KIND Fund app. These requests are then given to a volunteer along with a gift card to purchase the needed items and deliver them to the school within one week. This trusted resource has made a huge impact in the Ogden School District, serving more than 1,750 students and providing over $288,000 in support in just three years. Incredible! We're so grateful to our friends at Young Automotive and the Young Caring for Our Young Foundation for always stepping up for our students!

We’re so grateful to our friends at Hogan & Associates Construction for partnering with us to create the Hogan Construction Teacher Resiliency Recognition Award. Nominated by their principals, this award honors teachers who, despite facing personal hardships, continue to show up and make a difference for their students. Dave Anderson from Hogan joined foundation staff members Brynn Murdock and Katie Wahlquist to present five teachers with this award, which includes a $500 gift to help alleviate some of the financial burdens the recipients may be experiencing. We’re honored to support these resilient educators and express our appreciation to Hogan for their continued generosity.

We were delighted to sponsor the district's Evening of Appreciation this week, dedicated to honoring the remarkable educators in Ogden! Held at the Union Station, guests enjoyed a lovely evening listening to a performance from the Ben Lomond High Orchestra, eating a delicious catered meal, and celebrating this year's award winners and retirees. It is truly our privilege to support the incredible work being done across the Ogden School District!

Congratulations to George and Mary Hall, who were honored with the Sue Westenskow Award at the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce Gala in March. The award was presented by Ogden School Foundation President Eric Hall and Weber School Foundation Executive Director Emily Oyler. Named in memory of Sue Westenskow—a Weber County civic leader and educator who passed away in 1998—the award recognizes an individual or organization that has made a lasting contribution to education in Weber County’s public or private schools. Recipients are selected jointly by both local school districts and are honored for enriching students’ experiences beyond the traditional classroom and promoting lifelong learning across district lines.
For nearly 30 years, George and Mary Hall have dedicated themselves to enhancing educational opportunities for students, impacting more than 45,000 students annually. We are so grateful for the lasting and positive influence they have had on our community.

Earlier this week, we gathered at Napoli’s on Riverdale Road to celebrate an incredible year with our Ogden School Foundation Board Members, spouses, family members, foundation staff, and district leaders. This dedicated group works year-round to support Ogden School District students and ensures that our mission is carried out with intention and care. We're so grateful for their time, energy, and commitment—and for EVERYONE who plays a role in supporting education in Ogden (including the board members who couldn’t join us that evening!). Thank you for making the 2024–25 school year such a success!
