Students at New Bridge Elementary recently traded their traditional classroom routine for a frosty adventure, spending the week immersed in the fascinating world of animals in winter. New Bridge took a new approach to teaching literacy and science, turning standard lessons into an unforgettable hands-on experience.

Throughout the week, young learners explored how various species survive the coldest months of the year. Students read books about hibernation, migration and reindeer.

To wrap up the week of learning, the school hosted a "Read with a Reindeer" event to reward the students' hard work. Students had the rare opportunity to step outside the pages of their books and meet these majestic creatures in person. The chance to pet and interact with the reindeer brought their studies to life. Thanks to a generous donation from Minky Couture, every student received a plush new pillowcase, perfect for settling in with a good book. The atmosphere was filled with joy as children enjoyed special treats and spent dedicated time reading their favorite animal stories.
