Ogden School District students recently received a powerful reminder that clear vision can open doors to confidence, learning, and opportunity. Thanks to Friends for Sight, qualified students were provided free eye exams and glasses during SightFest, an event dedicated to removing vision barriers and helping students thrive in the classroom.

Access to vision care plays a critical role in academic success. When students can clearly see the board, read their materials, and engage fully in learning, it impacts everything from achievement to self-esteem. SightFest ensured that many of our students left not only with new glasses, but with renewed confidence and clarity.

This event would not have been possible without the generous volunteer efforts of local eye care professionals who donated their time and expertise:

  • Dr. Michael Judkins from the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind

  • Dr. Lincoln Dygert from Ogden Vision Center

  • Dr. Rich Humpherys, Dr. Dayan Ward, and Dr. Trevor Rigby from Family Vision Center

  • Dr. Dale Woodfield from Dale Woodfield & Associates

  • Dr. Michael Clark and Dr. Clark Fielden from Clinton Family Vision

  • Dr. Jarrod Davies from Utah Vision Developmental Center

  • Dr. Tal Quirl from Mountain View Eye Center

  • Dr. Denmark Jensen from Layton Visual Center

We are deeply grateful for their commitment to serving students and strengthening our community. Their partnership helps ensure that every child has the tools they need to succeed. Ogden School District is proud to collaborate with organizations and professionals who invest in the well-being of our students. SightFest is a shining example of what is possible when a community comes together to support learning and opportunity for all.
