Eight teachers were acknowledged by the state of Utah as being outstanding educators making an impact in high-poverty schools: Allene Voreis, Heritage Elementary -  Vickie Eddy, Liberty Elementary - Kim Pickett, Lincoln Elementary - Rosita Parrilla-Parks, Lincoln Elementary - Audrey Merrill, New Bridge Elementary - Chelsie Poll, New Bridge Elementary - Amity Rockwell, New Bridge Elementary - Kim Beger, Mound Fort Junior HighEight teachers were acknowledged by the state of Utah as being outstanding educators making an impact in high-poverty schools


Student Board of Education representative Aleksah Mendez from Ogden High school delivered a presentation about recent activities at the school.


The Policy and Law Committee recommended revisions to the following policies:

  • 7.401 Human Resource Records

  • 8.5.505 Family Education Rights and Privacy (FERPA)

  • 9.1.101 Compulsory Attendance Ages

  • 9.1.111 Alternative Education Programs

  • 9.2.203 Student Clubs and Organizations

  • 9.2.204 Student Fund Raising Activities

  • Consolidation of 9.201 and 9.202 about Student Travel
