Ogden School District junior high students took a major step toward their future careers as leaders, educators, and industry professionals gathered at the Ogden-Hinckley Airport for the Aerospace & Defense Career Discovery Day, hosted by Wasatch Front North.
Designed to move beyond traditional job fair models, the interactive event provided hands-on learning, flight line experiences, and direct professional networking for students from Ogden School District, Davis School District, and Weber School District.
The event featured a keynote address from Ogden City Mayor Ben Nadolski, who spoke to the students about importance of education and encouraging them to pursue a career in aerospace.
Through live demonstrations and interactive booths, students were able to bridge the gap between classroom curriculum and real-world career applications.
The success of the event was made possible through strong community support and active engagement from participating industry partners. Local businesses and defense organizations hosted interactive sessions, answered career questions and provided actionable guidance on CTE tracks, certifications and industry opportunities.
